Biografie

Roberto Palacios is far more than CAVE’s bassist. As co-founder, organizer and driving force behind the band, he has spent decades bringing musicians together, building projects and turning ideas into reality. While his bass provides the foundation on stage, his vision and energy help keep CAVE moving forward behind the scenes.

Growing up in Böblingen, Germany, Roberto was surrounded by music from the very beginning. After learning recorder, piano and classical cello, he discovered the bass guitar at fourteen and immediately knew he had found his instrument. Inspired by AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Pantera, Metallica and Sepultura, he combined a classical foundation with the energy of heavy metal.

Throughout his career Roberto has played with bands such as Insanity, Chinchilla and My Darkest Hate, toured internationally, organized festivals and earned a reputation as a reliable and passionate musician. CAVE began when he heard Chris Lorey’s demo recordings and insisted they deserved to become a real band. As co-founder, he continues to drive the project forward both on and off the stage.

For Roberto, success is measured by unforgettable live moments, inspiring his children, balancing family, career and music, and never losing the joy of playing.
